How To Setup A Wireless Network

My Excitement…

Wow, After I learned how to setup a wireless network, I wanted to take my computer out of a lonely part of the house and put it in the middle of the action. I felt left out when I could hear everything going on but I was stuck upstairs in my "office", but I didn't want to wire myself down. There would be times when I wanted peace and quiet and I wanted to take my computer anywhere I wanted to go. I knew there was a better way.

I couldn’t wait to get to the store to buy the things that I needed to unhook my computer, but you should have seen the look on my face when I first saw a whole wall of different products I could buy at the store.

The number of different manufacturers was overwhelming, and that was just at Best Buy. If you look online, the choice seems endless.

My problem was I knew how much better networking would be if I didn’t have to run a wire everywhere I wanted to go, but I didn’t know how to set up a wireless network and what to watch out for.

On top of that, our local news was running stories about how easy it was for someone to drive up in front of your house or office and tap in to your network. It scared me enough to not use wireless networking until I figured it out, so I had to learn about all of the different types of security and how I was going to use it on my network.

Now that I have spent months reading and buying and returning different pieces of hardware and learning how to setup a wireless network, I am confident that I can help you steer clear of the obstacles and do it right the first time, (and do it a whole lot cheaper than I did).

Above all, my desire is to give you the information you need so you will know how to setup a wireless network that will be secure and efficient and one that will let you spend more time with your family, use your computer outdoors on a beautiful day, get away from the crowd or use your computer anywhere you want.
